001/2024 Senior Infrastructure Engineer

SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS GBP450.00 PER DAY (OUTSIDE OF IR35) FLEXIBLE WORKING FROM HOME HAPPY NEW YEAR, HAPPY NEW CONTRACT We are proud to be partnered with one of the countrys leading leisure organisations who are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work in tandem with both the companys Programme and Infrastructure teams to deliver the planning of upgrades and transitioning of services from one set of Data Centres to another. This role is a pivotal element for the change which will be commencing imminently and therefore will require a focussed and driven individual who is goal oriented for the benefit of the Programme teams success. Task priorities will be defined by the Programme, and the Infrastructure team will define how it is to be achieved. The individual must collaborate and work closely with the Infrastructure team, and one of the key deliverables is knowledge sharing and a seamless transition following various cutovers. Key Tasks/Accountabilities: - Business Applications Support - Design and Documentation skills - Clustered server environments experience - General systems support with advanced troubleshooting experience. - Experience of Data centre builds, moves & consolidations - Experience in support handovers and service transition - Experience in Change & Problem tool/process implementation - Experience in ITIL - Used to working in Matrix organisations and with multiple vendors - At least 10 years experience working within IT - Self-starter with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Delivery focused and flexible in work undertaken - Ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly and concisely - Solid documentation and attention to detail Key Essential Skills & Experience Required: - MS Windows Operating Systems and associated technologies - Microsoft Active Directory administration - Databases - Storage solutions ranging from NAS, SAN to VM Storage - VMWare v-Sphere - Extensive IT support and Infrastructure experience - Experience of planning and migrating services - Load Balancers - Middleware management You will be working with a fast-paced team within an innovative and expanding organisation who can offer excellent working conditions.
