RATE:£31 - £45* PER HOUR

Who are we?
We are a social enterprise striving to improve educational outcomes for vulnerable young people, including Children Looked After, those adopted, and those with Special Educational Needs. We believe in empowering children through tailored 1-to-1 educational support, and you can help us achieve this.
We receive our referrals from local authorities and schools rather than privately. We are also a member of the Fair Education Alliance and an Approved Tuition Partner of the National Tutoring Programme.

We are seeking QUALIFIED TEACHERs who share our values and who are motivated by a strong desire to make an impact in the lives of those whose current needs are not being met by the education system. Everyone at Equal Education is fully committed to this mission.

Skills and Experience
Essential:
(please note, due to our safer recruitment policies we will only consider applicants who have the following)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Available during school hours and/or after school
Available for face-to-face tuition (not online)
Experience with mentoring
Valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children
Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Excellent in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting
Desirable:
Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and experience in supporting children to self-regulate emotions
Understanding of working with vulnerable young people with a range of needs and communication styles
Ability to tailor provision based on information provided in documentation e.g Education Health and Care Plan
Experience with mentoring
