The Opportunity:
The Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics & Health (CTLGH) is hosted at the Roslin Institute, Easter Bush Campus within the University of Edinburgh, with nodes in Nairobi and Addis Ababa.
The post holder will be responsible for creating high-quality content for the Centre’s internal and external communication channels. The post holder will be required to travel to the CLTGH nodes for meetings and to build the communication network.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working (Minimum of 3 days per week on Campus)
Your skills and attributes for success:
Excellent communication skills, including exceptional written English.
Track record of working in a communications role within a research environment and/or international development areas.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical experts to develop impact stories from complex scientific information for non-specialist audiences.
Strong organisational skills and experience of delivering projects to tight deadlines.
Practical experience and knowledge of web publishing.
