The school is based in the NG3 (Mapperley) area The role is full time and will begin Feb 2024. The hours of work will be 08:30-16:00
The main duties within the role will be:
- Working in the school's enhanced resource unit
- Supporting pupils with social and emotional needs
- Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in class
- Leading interventions around positive communication and teamwork
- Managing the challenging behaviours of targeted individuals
The school are looking for someone who:
- Is able to build relationships with pupils who present with autism
- Has at least one years experience working in a school
- Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management
- Can communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues
- Will work effectively on your own and also as part of a team
- Can act as a positive role model for the children
