This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to become an embedded member of the Paediatric Psychology and Liaison Service (PPALS) within the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (RHCYP).
PPALS provide assessment, treatment and care to children, young people and their parents/carers under the care of paediatric medical specialties on an in-patient and out-patient basis across NHS Lothian.
The postholder(s) will contribute to specialist psychological assessment and formulation-based individual- and group- interventions across a range of psychological presentations in paediatric health psychology, particularly within the paediatric haematology / oncology service.
Additional training and support relevant to this role will be provided for the successful candidate.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
