Role: 1st Line Support Engineer
Salary: £24,000 - negotiable DOE
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Working style: Fully Onsite during probation (3 months). After probation it will be hybrid 3 days in the office 2 days from home
Start date: End of February/ Start of March
We are currently working with a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider who are looking to bring in two 1st Line Support Engineers. The 1st Line Support Engineers will be the first point of contact to troubleshoot telecommunication, telephony and networking issues. This position entails managing tickets by logging them through Autotask and taking ownership of their resolution. You'll handle inquiries and problems via both phone and email channels. This diverse position necessitates someone who excels in customer service, teamwork, and takes initiative, demonstrating efficient time management skills.
The successful 1st Line Support Engineers will be joining an organisation who are keen on internal progression. They will give the 1st Line Support Engineers the opportunity to gain cloud certifications and are planning on progressing them into the 2nd Line / 3rd Line team or the networking team.
Essential skills - 1st Line Support Engineer
- Networking - Basic troubleshooting, Switches and Routers, knowing how they work, provisioning of Routers
- Broadband line troubleshooting
- VOIP/ telephony experience
- Cloud Phone systems experience
- Hardware troubleshooting - handsets
Desirable - 1st Line Support Engineer
- MSP experience
- Experience working on physical systems
- Good phone manner
