Role: Composite Laminator

Site Location: Stevenage

Rate: Up to £26.25

Duration: 6 month contract

Position Summary

Carry out Tool preparation, (Clean and apply Release Agent).

• Kitting and lay-up operations, (Cutting kit of materials for build sequence, Warp and Weft.
• Lay-up material on to mould surface correct orientation and build sequence).
• Understanding of Shelf Life of Materials would be an advantage.
• Vacuum bagging techniques (Manufacture breather bag material kit).
• Cure operations to agreed engineering methods and processes using various plant and process equipment (Autoclaves, Ovens and Vacuum pumps).
• Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by ensuring adherence to the defined processes and procedures.
• Operate within all Meggitt and Health and Safety at work Regulations.

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

Minimum 2 years' experience in Composites Laminator role.

• Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Confident to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
• Able to read drawings.
• Excellent prioritisation and decision making skills.
• Great attention to detail.
