We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Autism Support Worker to join our dedicated team based in Dundee in providing exceptional care to a male service user on a 2:1 basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for the service user by offering care and support in his own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support to the service user, promoting independence and well-being.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the service user, their family, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Implement and follow behavior support plans, adapting strategies as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the service user.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the overall care and support provided.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in supporting individuals with autism.
- Ideally hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
- Understanding and experience in implementing behavior support plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including early shifts, late shifts, and sleepovers.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of individuals with autism.

The successful Adult Care Assistant will be responsible for:
Working effectively on their own as well as part of a team
Recognising and encouraging the rights of service users within all areas of their life and to assist them to make informed choices and decisions
Working in a professional manner, meeting National Care Standards, setting appropriate boundaries
In ordered to be considered for this post, you must be:
Qualified to minimum SVQ Level 2 in Care or HNC in Social Care (desirable)
Minimum 6 months UK experience, working within a care setting
A care driver (desirable)
