2nd Line Support Engineer
- Up to £35,000 per annum + benefits
- Southampton office based

Spectrum IT has partnered with a leading UK law firm who are currently going through an exciting IT Transformation project. As part of this transformation, they are building new software systems and moving their infrastructure to modern technologies. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer to our business operations teams your job is to ensure that our IT systems, infrastructure, and applications are operating in a way that allows people to do their best work.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems such as Windows 10/11
- Knowledge of networking concepts/protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP …
- Ability to diagnose hardware-related problems
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve customer issues efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Awareness of security best practices, including password policies, data protection, and basic knowledge of firewalls and antivirus software
Beneficial skills:
- Microsoft support certifications or qualifications
- Knowledge of Azure AD, Intune, and autopilot would be advantageous
- Basic knowledge of Citrix Servers and XenApp would be advantageous
