360 Excavator Operator/Groundworker

The Role:
Bridgestone Group is seeking a skilled 360 Excavator Operator / Groundworker to join our dynamic team on a prestigious housing development project located in the Merthyr area. This role is essential for our ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality residential building projects. The successful candidate will be involved in diverse groundworks operations and will handle machinery operation tasks with precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 360 excavators and other heavy machinery efficiently and safely.
• Perform basic checks and maintenance on machinery.
• Engage in various aspects of groundworks including digging, trenching, and grading.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards on site.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Respond to shifting priorities on site as construction phases evolve.

Requirements:

• Valid 360 Excavator Operator tickets.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Proven experience in groundworks within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of current health and safety standards on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of performing duties in a construction environment.
