3Rd Line Infrastructure Engineer

Right here is the 3rd Line role that will see your career take off! This is a secure site where the work is different every day, challenging and satisfying, You will join the team providing 3rd Line support to numerous users using Windows 7 / 10 and SCCM. If you are experienced with 2nd line and itching to move up, this is for you.

You do need to be eligible for SC and DV Clearance for this position.

Hybrid role based 3 days per site in Salisbury OR Portsmouth, though you do need to be based on site 5 days a week for the first 3 weeks,

What you'll be doing:

• Distribute software components to the Enterprise using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
• Endpoint device management and administration of support queues - Incident and workload management
• Supporting the VDI environment
• Progress incidents and problems
• Troubleshoot applications
• Assist with support of the corporate environment Support the creation, reviewing and maintenance of processes and procedures
• Proactively recommend improvements and innovations (CSI&I) that provide efficiency improvements into the environment
• Work within business and security frameworks (ITIL, JSP, IMM)

What you’ll bring:

• SCCM Administration - basic understanding of Software distribution, OS deployment and monthly Patches
• Experience of Windows 7 / 10
• Experience of Group policy and AGPM
• Knowledge and basic experience of VMWare products and virtualisation technologies (Horizon View, VSphere)
• Understanding of RCA within a complex environment
• Able to optimally troubleshoot applications
• ITIL Awareness

It would be great if you had:

• Knowledge of application whitelisting (ideally Applocker)
• Understanding of Application virtualisation - APP-V
• Endpoint device control
• ITIL Foundation
• Knowledge of Software Testing using Sysinternals Tools, including Procmon
