Role Overview:We're hiring a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to manage storage and backup technologies. You'll be part of our Service Operations team, in the Swindon area, occasionally traveling to other sites.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot complex systems.
- Be the escalation point for 1st/2nd line engineers.
- Ensure efficient backup operations.
- Manage servers, virtualization, and storage environments.
- Support server OS (Windows and Linux) and applications.
- Develop capacity guidelines and monitor storage.
- Mentor team members and resolve escalated faults.
- Deploy changes and manage security patches.
- Contribute to system implementations and efficiency improvements.
- Storage technologies (Dell EMC VNX, Unity)
- Backup methodologies (Veeam B&R, EMC Networker)
- Server OS support (Windows and/or Linux)
- VMware ESX and vCenter
- Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
- Windows Server 2016/19 AD environment
