5X Mechanical Engineers

ALink Recruitment are looking for 5x Mechanical Engineers on a contract basis. The position will involve doing detailed design of rail projects. Candidates must have a mechanical background and experience undertaking detailed designs of rail projects.
Essential Criteria:
* Right to work in the UK
* Degree in Engineering (Bsc, MSc or MEng) or equivalent
* At least 5+ years, post-graduate experience in mechanical engineering
* Experience in the Rail Industry and a sound understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulations
* Experience of mechanical building services design in the rail environment, including: heating, cooling, hot and cold water, and ventilation systems
* Working knowledge of the design of above ground plumbing and waste systems, rainwater disposal systems, drainage systems, controls/BMS for mechanical systems
* Experience and good knowledge of using mechanical engineering standards and specifications (Rail or Building related)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work under pressure within time constraints
* Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
* Proven capability to build relationships, be proactive and be part of a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams
* Computer literate and good experience of computer software programs such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
* A challenging attitude towards solving engineering problems to achieve cost effective designs and develop innovative solutions
* Experience and good knowledge of TfL Pathway or Network Rail GRIP, PACE and engineering standards and specifications
