7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver

Overview: One of R&M Branches located in Bristol is looking to employ 7.5 Tonne Lorry Driver to join their busy team.

R&M are the largest independent Electrical Distributors in the UK. Beside our 8 UK stocking branches, we have specialist Projects and Exports divisions as well as in-house fixings, cables and assembly divisions. This Group offering allows us to provide a solution for all electrical requirements domestically and overseas.

Hours: Full-time, 8.00am – 5.00pm Mondays to Friday

Main Duties: Main responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

- Responsible for ensuring any vehicle taken onto the public highway is safe to use and is correctly loaded.

- Responsible for the distribution of goods within a specified area and any other related tasks as specified on a daily basis by the branch manager.

- To ensure all dealings with customers and suppliers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner.

- Receiving, handling and dispatch of goods coming into, or going out of the stores or warehouse.

- Unloading and checking goods, correctly storing them, picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, entering details of received goods onto a computer system, keeping the warehouse area in an acceptable condition.

- All tasks to be performed in compliance with the Groups Health & Safety and Quality Control systems.

- Ensure that the company vehicle is kept clean and tidy. Inside and outside.

Key Skills: The candidate will need to have the following attributes:

- 7.5T Vehicle Driving Experience

- Clean Driving Licence

- Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)

- Digital Tachograph Driver Card

Training: Training will be given on all aspects of the liaison with suppliers and customers and any additional IT required.
