The Edinburgh College of Art is seeking to recruit a full time Alumni Officer on an open-ended basis
The Opportunity
The post-holder will support ECA colleagues in developing and nurturing alumni relationships and facilitating alumni and supporter engagement at ECA as well as provide an ECA-based first point of contact and active liaison for all matters relating to alumni and the wider ECA supporter community. The successful candidate will develop close relationships with fellow stakeholder engagement professionals across the University, particularly the Contact College Advancement and Health Philanthropy (CAHP) within Development and Alumni.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Relevant Qualifications for the role and demonstrable experience.
Experience in alumni relations, fundraising or relationship marketing, ideally within a creative educational environment or the cultural and creative industries.
Proven experience of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Able to handle competing demands and deadlines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
Experience of successful events administration, planning and delivery.
An ability to act independently and decisively when the situation demands it.
Demonstrably excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build effective relationships with individuals and groups from a wide range of backgrounds to achieve shared goals.
Proven high-quality communication and presentation skills, with a commitment to accuracy and outputs which showcase excellence.
