The Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Finance Administrator to join the ECA Office team. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract, Covering family leave within the finance team.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will provide financial support for the research activities undertaken by Edinburgh College of Art, including: financial administration for the College’s wide range of external and internally-funded research grants; The post holder will ensure correct processes and procedures are followed, potential improvements highlighted to line management and accurate financial records are maintained. The role will also involve ensuring correct allocation of income/expenditure.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working (minimum on campus 60% of the time).
Skills and Attributes for Success:
Good standard of education (Vocational qualifications, N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus typically relevant experience, or standard grades or equivalent plus significant relevant work experience
Experience of working with financial procedures and systems in a large, complex organisation is required
Ability to quickly master established procedures and to provide clear guidance and instructions on these to colleagues
A high level of competence with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
