SalaryHRGO are currently recruiting for a 999 Call Handler on behalf of Kent Police, based in Ayelsford. This is a Permanent position.
Job Title: 999 Call Handler
Location: Ayelsford, Maidstone
Salary: £25,188 rising to £29,073 with experience. (Pro-rata for shifts under 37 hours)
Shift Patterns:
There are 2 shift patterns available 33hr per week and a 37hr per week.
* The 33hr contract is a 24/7 shift pattern which includes working days nights weekend and bank holidays.
* The 37hr contract being a core hour contract with the latest finishing time of 00.00 this will also include working weekends and bank holidays.

You will be the first point of contact taking both emergency and non-emergency phone calls from members of the public. You will receive a variety of calls, often challenging in nature.
Experience Required
* Previous call centre environment (desired).
* Customer Service experience (essential).
* Excellent listening skills.
* Remain calm under pressure.
* Handle traumatic, emotional and distressing situations.
* The ability to manage and support others during times of crisis -most commonly during an Emergency Call.
* Great IT skills (including good typing skills) and a high-level of accuracy.

It is ideal if you drive for this role due to the shift times and poor public transport connections, getting to the site is not doable for 06:00am starts and public transport being limited at 00:00 finishes.
