```Asbestos Lab Technician Duties```

• The candidate must hold a BOHS P401

- Perform laboratory tests and experiments to analyze samples and gather data
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure accuracy and precision in testing
- Prepare samples for testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Record and document test results, observations, and data in laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Analyze test results and interpret findings
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure quality control
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

```Asbestos Lab Technician Requirements```
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, or related discipline)
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment
- Familiarity with scientific research methods and data analysis
- Understanding of FDA regulations and compliance standards
- Proficiency in mathematics for calculations and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

• Have previous Asbestos Laboratory experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• The candidate must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel experience and be able to adapt to specific online systems
• Experience of the TEAMS Asbestos Management System an advantage but not essential

In return for your skills you will recieve

The hours of 37.5 per week Monday to Friday:

• A salary between £23,400.00 and £24,570.00 per annum depending on experience
• Company paid healthcare (long service award applies at 3 and 5 years)
• A company pension
• 22 days of annual leave
