About The Role

To deliver its sustainable top 30 ambition Swansea University needs a professional services workforce with the differentiated skills necessary to ensure that it can deliver excellence through efficient and effective systems and processes that harness innovations in technology.

High quality teaching and recognition of this is key to the plans for the University and SALT (Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching) is at the heart of developing and supporting this. We are seeking to appoint a colleague who wishes to join us on this exciting journey which ever changing and expanding.

The role holder will work in conjunction and with the direction of their line manager alongside the team to deliver SALT objectives, including embedding best practice in Learning and Teaching across all university academic activities. Support academic staff with CPD, Advance HE Fellowship applications, Teaching in Higher Education schemes, the Excellence in Learning and Teaching Conference and other quality and teaching enhancement activities in line with SALT and university strategic plans.

This role holder will be working primarily with the team supporting staff with Advance HE Fellowship applications.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent. Have significant and relevant academic, professional or equivalent knowledge and experience in learning and teaching in a Higher Education or an equivalent environment. They will also have demonstrable evidence of user and/or stakeholder engagement in developing and delivering relevant projects and services. It will be essential that they have excellent oral and written communication and engagement skills, confidence in interacting with staff at all levels and drive and ability to work under their own initiative.
