About the RA Schools
The RA Schools offers an unparalleled opportunity for a small cohort of postgraduate fine art students to develop their work over a three-year programme. As the longest established art school in Britain, the RA Schools may be steeped in history but remains at the forefront of contemporary art, supporting a new generation of international artists.
As the Academic Registrar, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the RA Schools programme and all aspects of the student lifecycle, which includes but is not limited to, policies and procedures, welfare, course administration and student recruitment and admissions. As part of this role, you will also manage the student bursary and awards allocation process and work with the Curator & Director to deliver public events and international initiatives.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have substantial experience working as an Academic Registrar or in a similar role within a higher education institution along with up to date and relevant knowledge of the student lifecycle. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with senior staff, students, and other external stakeholders.
An art school background, either as a student or through employment is highly desirable as is, knowledge of academic bursaries and awards. The successful candidate will also be committed to the aims and objectives of the RA Schools.
