The Role: Academy Operations Co-ordinator
Location: Home Based/ Remote
We are looking to significantly grow our successful Financial Adviser Academy. We are looking for an exceptionally organised individual to help with our growth plans. If you have a passion in supporting the Academy by working with our team, internal stakeholders, and our Academy Advisers, then please take a look at this role.
The Academy Operations Co-ordinator is responsible for the operational running and logistics of the M&G Wealth Advice Academy. The Academy is growing to support the growth ambitions of the M&G Wealth Advice Business. The Academy provides a route into Financial Advice for new entrants and a career change pathway for candidates already in the profession.
Key responsibilities for this role:
  • Manage and oversee the operations and logistics for the M&G Wealth Advice Academy and all candidates within it
  • Managing multiple cohorts of joiners, taking them through the programme as planned and managing them to dates and expected graduation timelines.
  • Ensure all Academy data is up to date and accurate.
  • Develops relationships with all Trainees and support their end-to-end journey through all stages of the Academy.
  • Oversee all exam arrangements for individuals and cohorts to keep the program on track
  • Work alongside the Adviser onboarding team to support a great adviser onboarding experience
  • Monitor the adherence of joiners to their contracts, applying clawbacks and offboarding any leavers from the Academy
  • Answer queries from Academy advisers on operational and logistical matters
  • Support the Head of Academy with the promotion of the Academy.
  • Support the Academy Recruitment Managers with recruitment and screening of candidates.
  • Support the Academy Training Managers with the training program development & organisation.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, issues and operational failures arising within the business
  • Ensure actions, decisions and processes take account of risk appetite limits and the potential impact on the risk profile of the area
  • Ensure effective systems of internal control to manage risks and maintain records reflecting compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage the operational elements of working with all third parties, especially the Chartered Insurance Institute, third party training providers.

Key knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Experience of managing a programme of activity and a large number of delegates similar to the Academy
  • Understanding of the financial advice market, products and services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills
  • Financial Advice qualification would be an advantage
