The Role: Academy Recruitment Manager
Location: Home Based/ Remote
We are looking to significantly grow M&G's successful Financial Adviser Academy, and looking for a talented and passionate individual to join the team in a new Academy Recruitment Manager role. If you have a passion in working with Academy applicants to help them through our interview process, then please take a look at this role.
As Academy Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for taking candidates through the end to end Academy recruitment and interviewing process.
In addition to this, there will be a requirement to promote the M&G Wealth Advice Academy, building deep and effective relationships with affinity groups that reflect the target markets that our Academy would like to attract new advisers from.
You will work closely with other members of the team supporting the generation of Academy applications from candidates, managing the relationship with Affinity groups to ensure they understand and can promote our Financial Advice Academy and ensuring the Academy meets its targets for recruits, including encouraging those from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Key responsibilities for this role:
  • Drives recruitment activity for the M&G Wealth Advice Academy by partnering with organisations to generate awareness of and candidates for the Academy
  • Leads the promotional activity for the Academy, arranging and attending promotional events to build the reputation of the Academy and M&G Wealth Advice
  • Delivers the Academy recruitment process end to end including generating interest, interviewing candidates and monitoring the effectiveness of the activities including Diversity and Inclusion metrics
  • Own and delivery against the recruitment and promotional strategy for the Academy
  • Create and deliver, with the Head of Academy, the plan of promotional activity
  • Ensures the Academy recruitment process is effective and efficient, supporting M&G Wealth Advice targets and provides a great experience for candidates to enhance the reputation of M&G Wealth Advice
  • Undertake interviews and other recruitment activities of candidates for the academy
  • Monitor the success of the academy against its recruitment targets
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, issues and operational failures arising within the business
  • Ensure actions, decisions and processes take account of risk appetite limits and the potential impact on the risk profile of the area
  • Ensure effective systems of internal control to manage risks and maintain records reflecting compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organisations to promote the Academy to candidates
  • Support the promotion of the Academy within the industry press and at industry events

Key knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Extensive knowledge of the financial advice market, products and services
  • Track record in building B2B relationships
  • Previous experience of recruitment processes
  • Advantage to have achieved, or currently working towards, the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
