We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Key Worker Team as an Accommodation Manager based at our site in Reading. You will provide a safe and welcoming environment to our key worker customers and lead a multi-function team of 10, motivating and inspiring them to deliver exceptional customer service.
Sovereign offer over 1300 key worker homes to a range of NHS staff, other key workers and students. Over 6,000 customers stay with us each year, from one night to those looking for a more permanent home. The Reading site has 300 units over 6 blocks all within 3 miles of the main office site. These provides homes for predominantly NHS workers on both a long and short term basis.
The Role
This is a varied role where you'll ensure that our accommodation is managed in line with contractual obligations, taking responsibility for financial performance and occupancy levels. You will be regularly identifying service improvements and be responsible for maintaining high quality data. You will also ensure that we provide our residents with a safe living environment, that staff and contractors are working in a safe fashion and assist in the delivery of your team's health and safety training.
We are looking for:
- Strong management skills with experience in motivating and empowering teams
- An understanding of general tenancy management
- A strong communicator with the ability to form relationships with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Good commercial awareness, taking a hands-on approach when required
- The motivation to deliver a high-quality service to our customers
This is a hybrid role that will require travel between our offices and the key worker schemes, so you should have access to your own transport and be happy to travel.
This role will be subject to a DBS check.
