Accounts Assistant

£26,000 - £28,000 DOE
CPL are currently working with a highly successful, local family run manufacturing business in Newry area to assist in the recruitment of a capable, self-motivated Accounts Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.
Roles & Responsibilities;
- Purchase ledger management.
- Check supplier statements, follow up on discrepancies, and process supplier payments in accordance with agreed credit terms.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Analyse and post direct expenses from credit card statements, expense claims, and petty cash.
- Produce and submit various government statutory reports, such as VAT returns, ECSL, and Intrastat.
- Administer outsourced weekly payroll calculations and electronic wage payments in accordance with contracts.
- Assist with parts pricing.
- Support the annual audit process.
- Generate weekly management reports.
What we are looking for;
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly accurate and numerically minded
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- An interest in learning new skills
- Computer literate - Microsoft Office, Excel (incl. formulae), Word and Outlook
- Strong communication skills
