Our client, who specialises in logistics and warehousing is looking for a candidate who would enjoy working for a medium sized family run business to oversee the accounts and finance function within the business. You will have 1 report to manage and will work closely with other teams within the business dealing with queries and finding resolutions.
Reporting back to the Directors and Senior management within the business, you will feel comfortable providing regular updates about the accounts, make suggestions about findings and analysis.
The company is reviewing candidates who have CIMA who can support the whole function and management accounts or an AAT qualified candidate who will work alongside an outsourced accountancy practise to produce the accounts to this level.
The company use Xero and MS office so any applicants must be fully competent in this software especially Excel.
Duties…
- Day to day general duties include invoices, ledgers, reconciliations, remittance and VAT returns
- Payroll, time sheets and expenses for all employees
- Budget control, cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Credit control and debt management
- Dealing with customers to deal with general accounts queries
Skills and Experience
- Must have CIMA qualification or AAT to level 3 or 4
- Very confident with the use of Excel- Vlook up Pivot tables, setting up of templates
- Working knowledge of Sage Xero
- Previous management of accounts function within a logistics environment would be ideal but not essential
Working hours
9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
5 days ideally but company may look at a 4 day week for the right candidate
Salary
Depending on Qualification and experience this will be discussed at application point
Circa £35,000 - £50,000
