Acoustic Consultant - Greater Manchester

Due to continued growth, our client, a leading acoustical engineering consultancy with expertise in environmental, architectural and acoustics hardware working closely with clients in both public and private sectors has a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant with a background in mechanical applications for noise and vibration to join their team in their new Greater Manchester office. You will be involved in the assessment of noise for a broad range of projects across all sectors including residential, hospitality and retail.
Qualifications
MSc/BSc Acoustics/Noise and Vibration or a relevant subject area
Full Driving license and access to a vehicle
Experience
Previous acoustic consultancy experience is essential for a consultancy
Technically competent and IT proficient
Experience in noise monitoring and assessment procedures
Commercially aware and team player
Good communication and client liaison skills
Personal experience in Noise Modeling using a recognized software package.
Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics.
Ideally strong project management skills.
Excellent report writing skills
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Full driving license
Duties
Measurement surveys and reporting
Advice on legislation
Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
Noise Impact Assessments
Liaise with consultants, engineers, and architects
Writing high quality reports
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advice on the appropriate use of planning conditions
