Acoustic Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our growing team. The role requires a qualified, detail-oriented self-starter to carry noise surveys for BS4142, BS8233 and Noise at work surveys around the South East to a high degree of precision. As such, a full driving license is essential.
The Company
Air Pressure Testing Ltd offers a full range of testing and survey services for both domestic and commercial buildings, from Domestic Energy Performance Certificates to Thermal Modelling of large/complex commercial buildings. We also carry out the associated planning noise surveys and noise at work surveys.

You have a full driving license.
Essential Experience
1. A member of the IOA and/or ANC and hold a degree in acoustics.
2. Self-motivated and ability to use initiative to work with minimum supervision
3. Physically fit to work on construction sites and carry acoustic equipment
4. Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft packages i.e. MS Word and MS Excel
5. Good communication skills
6. An interest in sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment
Desirable Skills
a. Experience in undertaking planning noise surveys.
b. Experience in undertaking noise at work surveys.
c. Sound insulation testing
Full training can be provided for these additional skills.
Key duties
1. Carry out noise survey throughout the South East
2. Developing good customer relationships including liaising with new and existing clients and site contacts
3. Report writing and test lodgement (if required)

Hours of work: 08.00am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday (Full-time) overtime sometimes required for extra salary.
Location: Based in Luton (Bedfordshire), although work is nationwide
