The Activate Student Mentoring Programme Coordinator will administer and support the Activate Student Mentoring Programme (Activate). Activate was established in October 2022 to support recipients of the College’s Presidential Scholarships for Black heritage students (undergraduates and Master’s students) and PhD students of Black heritage. In 2023-24, Activate was extended to support PhD students of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage and will be extended in 2024-25 to support disabled PhD students. In the future, it is likely that Activate will be extended to support other under-represented groups of students at Imperial College London.
The Activate Student Mentoring Programme Coordinator is based in the Graduate School at Imperial, but the role holder will work closely with other teams across the College as the Mentoring Programme is extended.

The Activate Student Mentoring Programme Coordinator will also lead the annual review of the programme, making recommendations for its future development.
In addition to this, the Activate Student Mentoring Programme Coordinator will organise and deliver the Graduate School’s annual event for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage undergraduate students interested in postgraduate education at Imperial.
