Funded by Sport England, we are one of a growing number of National Place Partnerships tasked with finding solutions to address the challenge of engrained physical inactivity.
TaAF has grown and evolved over recent years and we now have several teams delivering a broad and varying range of physical activity / system change projects in their places.
As we deepen and expand our work and move into the next phase we need to build our Blackburn with Darwen team to support the coordination and development of our key workstreams.
About the role:

About you and the job:
You will be skilled in working with a variety of partners and stakeholders to enable the development of physical activity volunteering across our BwD place.
Be able to facilitate positive relationships between partners, groups and organisations and build a network to bring together insight, learning and ideas with a focus on Volunteer Development.
Be a champion for the growth and sustainability of community assets and groups and promote volunteering as a positive and valuable experience, encourage people from diverse backgrounds to sign up.
Create connectivity between volunteers and volunteer organisations and ensure their skills are used in effective ways across a range of health & wellbeing settings.
Organise events, training courses and taster sessions to support development of volunteers and partner organisations.
If you enjoy working with people, have total attention to detail, love being organised with excellent communication skills and the desire to make the most of this unique opportunity as part of an innovative and creative team this is the role for you.
