Activities Coordinator Futures
Location: Chailey, East Sussex
Salary: £18,720- £19,750 per annum (30hrs) / £23,088 - £24,357.33 per annum (37hrs)

The Role
The Foundation know how important it is for young people, whatever their abilities, to explore their capabilities and pave a way forward for the future. Their emphasis therefore is on living and learning and optimising the power of potential - be it small steps or gigantic leaps!
You will be responsible for ensuring that their young people have a range of stimulating and enjoyable activities and events.
- To research enjoyable trips, events and activities and provide this information to the young people and staff.
- To support and encourage the young people to engage in the scheduled activities.
- To advertise and promote events and activities with the relevant teams and managers to ensure all young people are offered the opportunity to take part.
- To lead, participate in and deliver activities, trips and events.
- Arrange and attend swim sessions throughout the week to support the teams with swimming activities.
- To drive the minibus to enable the young people to attend events and activities when required.
- Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role and that enables the postholder to provide basic hands-on support to young people.
What are they looking for?
- Practical experience and understanding of young people with disabilities and barriers faced by these young people when arranging activities and events.
- Previous experience in an activities role (Desirable)
- Driving Qualification i.e., Minibus training (Desirable) or willingness to undertake this.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of groups, e.g., young people, young people, parents, staff, external Agencies.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Working Pattern
Hours of work are 30-37 hours per week (flexible, to be discussed on interview), including evening and fortnightly weekend working. Hours to be discussed at interview. This role is based on site.
