Do you have proven experience of planning activities, events, and excursions for young people? If so, our Activities Manager position could provide you with the diverse challenge you’ve been looking for this summer.
What does it involve?
Here at Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6000 young students (aged 8-17) from all over the world, during the summer holidays. We to help them improve their English in the classroom but also provide a vibrant activities and excursion programme. We employee a team of Activity Leaders to help bring the fun, and that’s where you come in!
As an enthusiastic and energetic manager, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing the delivery of our fun activities, events, and excursions programmes. Activities range from sporting, drama, arts to quizzes, discos, fashion shows; trips to theme parks, city tours. The list goes on! You are provided with materials, support and guidance from our experienced senior management team, helping you to ensure that the programme runs safely and smoothly.
You'll build great working relationships with your team to ensure our students have a safe, entertaining and memorable stay. You’ll play an active role in supporting and training your team of Activity Leaders, Senior Activity Leaders, and Teachers, giving briefings and designating tasks. You're also involved in the pastoral care of students, including night-duties on a rota-basis.
Locations: Bournemouth, Canterbury, Cambridge, Central London, Uxbridge, Northampton, and Oakham (famous for the Michael Owen Red Stars football school) to choose from.
Contracts: You can choose your contract of 4-6 weeks between July to mid-August. You must also be available to attend our training weekend in June 2024. This is a fully-immersive working experience, working up to 60 hours per week and as you are involved in the wrap-around care for our students, you must be residential for this contract. The great news is, as it's residential you don't need to be local, to apply!

Pay:
£686.40 per week + *holiday entitlement
Emergency Phone Payments – up to *£40 per week (£20 per night payments for emergency phone cover – anticipated twice per week)
Loyalty Payments (if applicable) - *£20 - 43 per week

Some of what you'll need to be an Activities Manager:
You will have previous experience of running activity/leisure programmes or events. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working in a summer camp or school.You’ll be a great communicator and a supportive leader, able to effectively manage your team, ensuring the happiness, safety and well-being of staff and students alike.
You must have a working knowledge of safeguarding young people
