Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a variety of activities designed to engage and support our clients. The Activity Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who attend our centre, ensuring that each activity is tailored to their needs and interests.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activities for centre attendees, including arts and crafts, exercise classes, educational workshops, and social events.
• Develop and implement programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our community members.
• Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure activities are well-organized and run smoothly.
• Assess the needs and preferences of participants to create engaging and meaningful activity plans.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and participant feedback to continuously improve program offerings.
• Collaborate with external organizations and community groups to expand activity options and resources.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and centre policies.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications and Skills
• Previous experience in activity coordination, healthcare roles, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to developing activities and programs.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• A relevant qualification in social work, community development, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
