Position Overview:
As an Actuarial Consultant, you will be an integral part of their practice, renowned as one of Ireland's most trusted actuarial service providers. Your role will involve working on diverse projects across (re)insurance, banking, leisure, and public services, providing advisory, modelling, and analytical services. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of core actuarial advisory projects, including reserving, product development, risk management, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary assignments across various fields, collaborating with professionals in audit, finance, consulting, and risk advisory.
- Maintain strong client relationships by understanding business needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Contribute to actuarial teams engaged in reserving or review work for the Head of Actuarial Function role.
- Support the growth of the practice through internal and external networking, research activities, and contributing to new business proposals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary with substantial professional experience.
- Solid knowledge of the Non-Life or Health (re)insurance industry and the ability to apply that knowledge in commercial situations.
- Experience in financial reporting, particularly with Solvency II and/or IFRS17 reporting, would be advantageous.
- Capability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience in managing teams and/or projects (advantageous but not essential).
- Knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python or experience in credit risk modelling (advantageous but not essential).
