Job Description
This role would be ideal for a part-qualified Actuary with experience of DB Pension schemes, who wants to focus on the calculations, valuations side of the role!
This role sits within our centralised, specialised actuarial support team; supporting our client-facing actuarial consultants with the back-office, in-depth calculations and valuations part of what we do.
We're looking for someone with around 3 years experience.
Further details are as follows:
- Handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates
- Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19 and USGAAP)
- Coordinating data collection; including editing and testing data received from clients
- Undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work associated with Pension Schemes
- Assisting in developing administrative procedures
- Checking day to day individual calculations as requested
- Participating in Buck internal projects; handling special projects or assignments as needed
- Providing leadership, feedback and training to actuarial analysts
- Building up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension plans
