Actuarial Technician - Pension Schemes

This role would be ideal for a part-qualified Actuary with experience of DB Pension schemes, who wants to focus on the calculations, valuations side of the role!

This role sits within our centralised, specialised actuarial support team; supporting our client-facing actuarial consultants with the back-office, in-depth calculations and valuations part of what we do.

We're looking for someone with around 3 years experience.

Further details are as follows:

• Handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates
• Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19 and USGAAP)
• Coordinating data collection; including editing and testing data received from clients
• Undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work associated with Pension Schemes
• Assisting in developing administrative procedures
• Checking day to day individual calculations as requested
• Participating in Buck internal projects; handling special projects or assignments as needed
• Providing leadership, feedback and training to actuarial analysts
• Building up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension plans
