Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrator to work within the BCUHB Long Covid Service.
The successful candidate will have strong administration and organisational skills to be able to support and be an integral member of the Long COVID MDT, ensuring the efficient running of the service, along with supporting the transition into the new Community Complex Conditions service.
This role will involve communication with patients and carers, the wider MDT and other specialist services to allow the team to case manage and deliver a well coordinated pathway of care to those with Long Covid and other chronic health conditions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The main duties of this role include processing referrals into the service in a timely manner, being first point of contact to patients, typing of clinical correspondence and providing the team with general administrative support.
The role involves being an integral member of the Long Covid administrative team , working under direction from the Lead Coordinator coordinating and administering the Long Covid pathway and processing patient correspondence.
The post holder will liaise closely with patients, clinicians and other health professionals to provide an efficient administrative service, and must demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be flexible and adaptable and have good organisational skills. A professional telephone manner is essential to receive and respond courteously to all telephone enquiries regarding patient care.
