Post Title:
Admin Officer
Purpose:
To actively contribute to the development and promotion of an image which accords itself with the Academy's vision
To take specific responsibility for the management and development of all aspects of admin within the Faculties including drafting letters and contacting parents.
To support all Staff and associate Staff working in the Department
Liaising with:
Principal, other senior managers, Teaching and support staff, relevant external agencies,
Working time:
Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary:
NJC 5 £23,500
MAIN (Core) DUTIES
Service provision
Be responsible for the student Sims database, maintaining records and ensuring all student files are up to date.
Be responsible for the input of all new student data into Sims and ensuring that new filing systems are set up at the start of every term.
Maintain a full data base of all purchase orders.
Create all internal school passes for students and staff - including Time out, SEND, Lift Pass, Toilet pass etc
Responsible for franking all outgoing mail and distributing incoming mail daily to the relevant members of staff/departments.
Undertake general Admin office duties such as filing, scanning, typing and sending out of letters, photocopying as and when required, cover for Reception and Student Services during staff absence or busy periods.
Support the rest of the Admin team as directed by the Senior Office Executive
To participate in whole school activities such as open evenings, training days and events
To keep the Admin office clean and tidy, reporting any faults and issues to the Facilities Department
To assist the Principal and staff in the good and orderly conduct throughout the Academy
Focus
Duties will be of a Standard Admin Officer and to provide support to the rest of the Admin team managing projects as and when required.

To implement Academy quality assurance policy and a whole Academy approach to self-assessment
Communications:
- To communicate and consult with other staff
- Where appropriate, to communicate and co-operate with internal/external individuals and bodies as appropriate
- To follow agreed policies for communications within the Academy
Marketing:
- To ensure the promotion of a welcoming environment to students, visitors and callers.
Health and Safety
Ensure that Health and safety regulations are complied with, especially aspects of code of conduct when dealing with vulnerable students
Corporate Responsibility:
- To actively promote the Academy's corporate policies, e.g. Health & Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities, etc.
Training:
- To continue one's own personal development in relevant areas.
OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES
To carry out the duties in the most effective, efficient and economic manner available.

To support the Support services development plan
To undertake any other task that is within the skill level and capability.
