What you will be doing:
Under the direction of the Senior Service Support Officer to provide a comprehensive administrative service to managers, staff, customers and other stakeholders providing services within Bath & North East Somerset Council.
Skillset:
- Previous experience of office administration.
- The ability and flexibility to work across and support a wide range of services within the Council and the ability to work with other partner or commissioned organisations.
- Must demonstrate good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and an ability to manipulate data in excel to produce relevant management information.
- The post holder will be expected to maintain confidentiality and on occasions will experience situations which could be upsetting, challenging or threatening.
- The ability to use Microsoft word, process and lay out documents to a high standard is essential. Ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines.
- Ability to assimilate new information quickly.
What do you need to have:
Strong IT skills are required as you will be working in both MS Office and bespoke systems. Customer service skills are also needed as you will be dealing with enquiries from both the public and internal parties.
Hours:
8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary:
£11.59 per hour.
