Previous experience in school or college examination systems would be highly desirable. Although not essential as additional training will be provided. However, you will need a strong administrative / data input background with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
SALARY: GBP24,442 per annum (GBP12.67 per hour)

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 05.00pm & Friday 8.30am - 04.30pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Examinations Officer who has a high attention to detail with excellent administrative, data entry, organisational and communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
Working as the Administrator / Examinations Officer you will take a lead role within a team of staff who administer all public and internal examinations and assessments within the College. Exams are a key part of education and take place all through the college year; their successful deployment is crucial to the success of the College and the students' progression.
As the Administrator / Examinations Officer you will be someone who can demonstrate their eye for detail whilst delivering outstanding customer service. Working in this environment requires 'thinking on your feet,' strong organisation skills, clear communication approaches, a positive 'can-do' attitude, a good and appropriate sense of humour and the ability to work flexibly. The suitable applicant is a person who can work as part of a team and has a clear head working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Administrator / Examinations Officer include:
- Examination entries that are accurate and up to date
- Meet all College and Examination Board deadlines
- Organise and run examination sittings and rooms
- Establish examination timetables including clashes and special arrangements
- Supervise and contribute to the collation and issue of results, including results days, and certificates
- Liaise with examination boards
- Respond to requests for information from staff and students
- Deal with general enquiries
- Deal with examination related incoming mail
- Process re-marks and access to scripts to appropriate deadlines
- Ensure that examination papers are checked, filed and stored in a secure environment
- Complete statistical analyses and returns
- Ensure that exam board timetables are published and that the exam notice board is kept up-to-date
- Ensure that an exam board syllabus list is produced and published
- Ensure that examination stationery is ordered and stored
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced in working closely with a team
- Highly organised with good time management skills
- Experienced and skilled in the use of IT - word-processors, spreadsheets, databases
- Able to communicate well, with good interpersonal skills
- Flexible, friendly and able to work well as part of a team
- Experienced in school or college examination systems or general school or college management and/or administration
- Experienced in following strict procedures and understands the consequences of non-compliance
- Previous data entry experience
- Demonstrable strong communication skills
- Demonstrable attention to detail
- Strong IT literacy
- Demonstrable good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to deadline
- Ability to work as part of a team
