Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Leominster based client as an Administrator/Bid Writer on a full time, permanent basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support within the contracts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient office operations and managing multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism.

What you can expect:

  • Salary: up to£24,000 per annum dependant on experience
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5pm & Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

What you will be doing:

  • Completion of pre-qualification questionnaires and quality elements for tenders
  • Daily typing of correspondence
  • Monitoring online portals for upcoming tender opportunities
  • Update the project lists for completed projects
  • Site photographs for completed projects and client references
  • Review social value commitments on “live” sites and upcoming sites
  • Creating project profiles including site photographs
  • Assisting with the creation and upload of regular news pieces for company website and LinkedIn
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of a category-based database of pre-qualification questions and answers
  • Ensuring company brochure is kept up to date
  • Copy typing of purchase orders, liaising with the buying team, scanning orders to suppliers, distributing office and site copies.
  • Providing any other administrative support to team as and when required including typing of purchase orders, subcontract orders, project meeting minutes, filing etc

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience within an administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a professional phone manner
  • Proficiency in using office software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), email and calendar management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and information
  • Prior manufacturing/construction industry experience would be advantageous
