Job description

We have an exiting opportunity for you to come and join our Education Support Team at Lincolnshire County Council. Due to internal promotion we are looking for a tenacious and inspirational leader to be our new Admissions and Education Provision Manager.

About the Role

The Admissions and Education Provision Manager is one of three key posts in the education support team within Lincolnshire’s Children’s Services. The role requires a skilled and solutions focussed individual who is at ease negotiating with other senior managers within the council and headteachers and can provide leadership, advice and guidance to your teams on:

  • school Admissions and appeals
  • ensure the sufficiency of school places for school-age children
  • food education and free school meals

 

About You

You will be a motivational and experienced communicator who interprets and understands legislation and statutory guidance easily. Making connections with other managers across the council and outside in schools will be a key strength.

Good written and communications skills along with political awareness is important, as is a structured and methodical approach. You should already have experience of managing a high-performing team and would now be looking to manage several teams to increase your experience.

You should be comfortable working with data and information to make recommendations for business cases that involve both revenue and capital funding.
