Our prestigious client is seeking an experienced Admissions Manager who will play a key part in the planning, preparation and execution of all admissions related events, opening mornings, taster days and new pupil days. This is an exciting time in the this school's development. Our client is seeking a candidate who will be excited to drive their admissions plans.

You will be expected to attend whole school events to gain a thorough understanding of the academic and pastoral experiences that pupils can expect. A sound knowledge of boarding, overseas recruitment, domestic markets, SEN, EAL and the curriculum would be an advantage.

A full Induction and training programme will be implemented for the successful candidate and regular ongoing reviews will be offered to support the role. We will also offer a mentoring programme as additional support.

As Admissions Manager you will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of registry and admissions throughout the school
  • Dealing with enquiries from prospective parents and conducting school tours
  • Working with marketing communications to oversee school recruitment networks
  • Supervising the admissions team to ensure that the School meets our objectives in terms of the number and the calibre of new enrolments.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing, admissions and maintain effective tracking of new enquiries/applicants
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team for attendance at recruitment events
  • You will be expected to become conversant with the UKVI Tier 4 visa regulations
  • Attendance at conferences and workshops to further knowledge of the market and admissions process
  • Monitor and report on competitor schools and developments within the market
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all audiences
  • Regular reporting and monitoring of admissions

The person:

  • Previous admissions experience
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Evidence of cross-departmental co-operation
  • Strong financial/business acumen
  • Occasional weekend and evening working
  • International travel for overseas events and recruitment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to plan ahead and work within agreed timeframes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Persuasive - ability to engage, persuade and motivate people
  • Presentation skills to lead events as required
  • Enthusiasm and energy
