Job description

37 hours per week As part of the wider Registry Admissions team, the post-holder will be responsible for the operational aspects of running an efficient and fair admissions process for our applicants, including international applicants. This will require effective working with our external partner who will be responsible for processing applications and providing CAS ready applicants. The postholder, together with other team members in Admissions, will be responsible for final due diligence checks/review and issuing of CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies). Working closely with the Head of Admissions and UKVI Manager the postholder will ensure the implementation and enforcement of admissions policies to underpin the university’s strategic objectives and ensure compliance with external regulation. To work with the Head of Admissions to have in place appropriate admissions processes and procedures for the recruitment of both home and international students. Carrying out regular reviews and improvements as necessary.  To be responsible (working with other members of Admissions) for the implementation of the international admission processes and procedures. Working with the UKVI manager to undertake regular internal audit to demonstrate compliance. To be responsible (working with other admissions colleagues) for ensuring accurate admissions information is maintained on the web and publications and assisting Marketing colleagues by attending Open Days for prospective applicants to answer questions on the courses offered and provide guidance on admission procedures.  Working with the Go Abroad Coordinator.  Develop and deliver international admissions training for staff, creatively utilising the most efficient and engaging methods of delivery.  Working outside of normal working hours at certain peak times, and flexibly with respect to annual leave patterns at these times. There is a specific requirement to be available to work without taking holiday leave throughout the period of Confirmation & Clearing and registration periods.
