Position Overview: As an Adoption Social Worker, you'll have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to support adoptive families and children throughout their adoption journey. From initial assessments to post-adoption support, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that every child finds their forever family and receives the care and support they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of prospective adoptive families to determine suitability
- Providing support and guidance to adoptive families throughout the adoption process
- Facilitating matching and introductions between children and adoptive families
- Advocating for the best interests of children throughout the adoption process
- Providing post-adoption support to families as they adjust to their new family dynamic
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Previous experience in adoption or child welfare services preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for helping children and families
