Adult Navigator (Non Uk Nationals)

This role will be based in our busy Support Centre, working with Non-UK Nationals who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness to overcome some of the complex barriers that they face. This role also has a city-wide remit and we aim to diversify referral routes to support those in the city who may be in need of support to regularise their immigration status, access legal advice and improve their situation.

Working alongside our Homeless Intervention Team and Restricted Eligibility worker, you will be supporting a wide range of clients facing multiple complex barriers to accommodation and financial stability, and will be working to build effective partnerships in the city to strengthen their pathways out of homelessness. You will also be supporting people from a wide range of countries of origin who may be experiencing exploitation or modern day slavery and will be working with our co-located Birmingham City Council housing team to make appropriate referrals.  

You will be able to provide additional support to clients in obtaining the relevant paperwork they might need, advocating for them and attending appointments where needed to overcome some of the challenges they face. This role provides an exciting opportunity to identify some of the systemic barriers that you uncover so that they can be raised at a strategic level in the city.
