Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting pre-procedure assessments and ensuring patients are adequately prepared for endoscopic procedures.
- Assisting with endoscopic procedures, maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
- Providing post-procedure care and monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
- Proven experience working in an endoscopy unit, with a thorough understanding of endoscopic procedures and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care.
