Adult Social Care Lawyer

LAW Absolute is working with a local authority based in London who are seeking an Adult Social Services Lawyer for an initial period of 3 months.

The successful Adult Social Care Lawyer will be required to advise on the following matters:

• Care Act 2014
• No recourse to public funds
• Ordinary Residence
• Deprivation of Liberty
• Court of Protection
• Mental Health
• Judicial review

It is essential candidates have experience handling a complex caseload in all the areas listed above. Previous local government experience would be highly advantageous as the client requires the Adult Social Care Lawyer to pick up a caseload with minimal supervision. Advocacy experience will also be necessary.

Our client is looking for someone to start ASAP, we are therefore only able to consider candidates available to start on no more than three weeks’ notice. There will be an expectation that candidates attend the office on an ad hoc basis but the working from home situation is constantly under review and subject to change. Candidate must have a practising certificate.
