Job Role:  Adults Social Worker
There are exciting NEW opportunities for agency Social Worker’s for the Learning Disability Team in Rotherham. The team are passionate about working with individuals who have a Learning Disability/Autism and welcome applications from those who want to improve the lives of Rotherham residents and shape the commissioning of services. We want energetic and passionate individuals who care about getting the best aspirational outcomes for people with a Learning Disability/Autism. We’re looking for people who are not afraid to challenge and who will promote independence and autonomy using a strength based, person-centred approach. In return you will become part of the newly established permanent Learning Disability team. The team already enjoys good and effective working relationships with other professionals, organisations/providers, carers and families. This team will be pivotal in shaping and driving the learning disability transformation programme forward.
As a Social worker you must have a degree in Social work with a minimum 2 years post qualifying experience and passed your AYSE, experience in an NHS Establishment or a local authority is desirable.
To act in accordance with SWE registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
To provide professional Social work assessments to support the commissioning process in line with care management and continuing care.
Employers will be keen to see that you have a friendly and caring attitude, and understand and respect people who need healthcare support.
Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social work are essential to apply for this role.
