Advanced Imaging Assistant

Cannulate patients attending for CT procedures. Assist the radiographers in ensuring annual appraisals of Imaging Assistants are completed in a timely manner. Be responsible for ordering consumables for the CT service at all sites. Set up sterile trolley for interventional CT procedures Support Radiologist carrying out interventional CT procedures including pre and post care of patient Rotate through Interventional Radiology to ensure competence in patient care post interventional procedure To work under the direction of the Modality Manager, liaising with Radiologists, Radiographers, and other Assistants to ensure patient needs and welfare are attended to. To assist with the collection and distribution of imaging request cards and notes of patients awaiting imaging examinations. Escort patients to the appropriate waiting area. Act as the patients advocate ensuring that their best interests are met.
