We currently have a fantastic Locum Advanced Practitioner-Qualified Social Worker opportunity based within a fast paced Fostering Team in the Wigan area.

Responsibilities:
- You will be supporting a small caseload of more complex foster carers, children and young people
- Deputising for Team Manager in absence or leave
- Managing and developing support workers and social workers within the team
- Providing fostering families with support guidance and advice
- Completing annual reviews and all associated paperwork within timescale
- Duty rota, being included within the management duty rota - office based, one week at a time.
- Office working day Thursdays for all staff (further office days as required to complete role)
To be considered for the role:
- BSc Social Work or equivalent
- Hold a current Social Work England registration
- Experience in managing support workers and or social workers
- Experience of working within a busy and fast paced Fostering Team
- Possess good working knowledge of quality assurance, relevant legislation, policies and procedures in relation to fostering and safeguarding
