Nonstop Care is working with a well-established local authority in East Midlands that is looking for Senior Social worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage cases involving child protection plans, child in need plans, and public law/care proceedings.
  • Work closely with other agencies, utilizing a contextualized safeguarding approach in safeguarding activities.
  • Handle cases transferred from DAAT at the first Initial Child Protection Conference or the first Child in Need meeting, ensuring continuity until closure.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Hold a professional Social Work qualification and registration (SWE)
  • Post-qualified experience across child protection and/or assessment
  • Ability to assess and manage risk, with a focus on service-users' safety and well-being
  • Must drive and have access to own vehicle.
  • Clear, Enhanced DBS
